One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is getting to watch the tiny newborns that I photograph grow up! It means so much to me that parents not only trust me with their precious newborn memories, but also want me to capture those other childhood milestones…like turning the big ONE! Today is M’s actual birthday. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY from your favorite photographer! ;) He has the cutest smile!! I had so much fun at his session. We just let him do his thing and play and he was such a trooper! Thanks so much Melinda and Mark for trusting me to photograph your little one again. I know you are so proud of your precious boy! And, because it’s his birthday today, he gets a special BIG sneak peek! :)

I had such a blast with the gorgeous G family! You all look amazing! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your family of three before you became a family of four! I’m so happy we scheduled the session when we did! Baby boy was born the next day. You have a beautiful daughter who is such a sweetheart!

Birthday Boy! | Rio Grande Valley baby photographer | Melissa Rodriguez Photography

My oh my how this little one has grown in a year! It really seems like just yesterday that I photographed my sweet little nephew’s newborn portraits…and now he is ONE! He is such a happy baby! He is always smiling and melts your heart with those big brown eyes!

I normally don’t photograph older babies/toddlers indoors, but we tried a few and I think they are precious! However, Auntie Melissa needs to get some more masculine looking bouncing balls. He LOVES playing with balls, but all I had to choose from was Hannah Montana and Disney Princesses! Luckily, we found one that didn’t look too girly. :)

Well, we tried and tried to get this little man to sleep, but 3 month olds don’t want to miss anything that’s going on around them and Baby K certainly didn’t either. His mommy really wanted photos of him sleeping and in the brief 60 seconds that his eyes were closed during the session, I got one shot of him sleeping! So, I hope you like the photo of your sleeping little angel! :) However, with a smile like his, I’m so glad we got to see it the whole session! Talk about a happy boy!! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your sweet baby boy. He is so precious. Hope you enjoy the peek!

It was so much fun photographing Miss A! She’s my Maddie’s playmate everyday and they love each other so much.  She has the most beautiful blue eyes and a gorgeous smile. I have to admit that photographing one and a half year olds is tough. They are usually more interested in their surroundings than looking at me. But she was so happy running around and playing with her mom that we got so many great shots! I  love all of her little expressions! So sweet! Thanks for trusting me to photograph your baby girl! This first photo is one of my favorites. I knew the second I took it that I was going to love it!

I’m getting much better about making time to photograph my little one and it makes me so happy! And, I must say she’s becoming quite the model/actress (must get her acting abilities from daddy). She’s growing up so fast and I want to remember her just as she is right now. Lovable. Caring. Sensitive. Passionate. Strong willed. Spirited. Perceptive. Persistent. Imaginative. Intelligent. Sassy. Helpful. Enthusiastic. Curious. Dramatic. Did I already write dramatic? Ah, yes. No harm in listing it twice. ;) Everything that a 3-year-old little girl should be and so much more! :)

Baby S was such a happy baby! His mommy really wanted pictures of him sleeping, but this 3-month-old cutie didn’t want to miss anything that was going on around him, so he didn’t give his mommy her wish. I just love getting to see the newborns I’ve photographed grow up. Baby I is still the tiniest newborn that I’ve photographed to date, but just look at what a beautiful baby she is now! It’s amazing how quickly time passes. This was Baby L about a year ago. Now, in that suit especially, he looks SO grown up and like a little man. He is such a happy baby and has a smile that makes you just want to pinch his cheeks! There’s something about baby smiles with gums and tiny teeth that I find so adorably sweet!
