Trash the dress cont. | Cozumel destination wedding photographer

I’m finally getting around to blogging these from the trash the dress session I did in Cozumel, Mexico in July! I’ve been crazy busy, but have been having fun meeting tons of new families. You may remember the teaser image from this post. Well, here are a few more. Makes me wish I back there right now with all the cool and rainy weather we’ve been having lately! We went off the beaten path and found the most beautiful ruins by the ocean. I was in heaven! The rocky shoreline was breathtaking and made the perfect background for such a gorgeous couple!

♥ My girl ♥ | South Padre Island children’s photographer

Just wanted to share a quick photo of my Maddie at the beach. I rarely have make time take pictures of her, so the ones I took of her this day are really special to me. She turned 3 a little over a week ago and I still can’t believe that 3 years have gone by. I’m so proud of the little person she is. She’s a daddy’s girl. They are such great friends.  She’s so much like me in so many ways that it’s scary…

Toes in the sand | South Padre Island family photographer

I was so happy when the S family contacted me to photograph their family while on vacation at South Padre Island. Thank you so much for trusting me to capture these memories for you! The evening started off a little warm and then cooled off to the most perfect feeling and gorgeous night. I really enjoyed hanging out with Mr. L and Mr. W. I could tell they are such great friends and have such a special brotherly bond. Thank you L and W for your patience too. It was their first day getting to the island and they were itching to play in sand throughout the whole session…I can’t blame them one bit! ;) I think the one photo of Mr. W below brings new meaning to the phrase “sandy blonde!” :) They are such handsome boys and were so fun! You have such a gorgeous family…enjoy your peek.

Cozumel wedding | Destination wedding photographer

I have to start by saying that island weddings have a special place in my heart because my hubby and I were married in St. John, USVI. There is just something so peaceful and calming about island life…

Thank you Jimmy and Lyza for the amazing opportunity to get to travel to beautiful Cozumel to photograph your gorgeous wedding.  I’m so happy for you guys! Thanks for being such sweet friends. Hope you enjoy this peek to hold you over…

Girlfriends | Rio Grande Valley beach portrait photographer

When Ashley contacted me months ago to photograph a group of her girlfriends who were coming to South Padre Island, I was a little nervous since she was a photographer too. But I immediately got excited when I realized that we could trade services and that I could FINALLY be in some images with my family!

Maddie was SO sick the whole week leading up to the session so I was a bit nervous. To tell you the truth, I’ve never photographed a session so frazzled in my life!! Our hotel had us waiting for hours and then cancelled our reservation about 10 minutes before the time I was supposed to meet all the girls, so I was a nervous wreck and I was dealing with a toddler who had 102.5 fever in the lobby! NOT FUN!

Well, to make a long story short I photographed the sweetest group of girlfriends!! I’m so excited everything worked out and that I was able to document their friendship and trip to SPI. The wind was SO crazy that weekend, but I think it really lends to the model feel of these images! :) Aren’t they are all simply stunning??!!

Ashley, thank you so much for contacting me and allowing you to capture you and your friends. I really appreciate you photographing my family. You were such a blessing to us too! :)
