Claudia and Arturo, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your daughter! She is beautiful. She decided early on that she was not going to sleep for me and fought it for about three hours, but I was finally able to capture her in a peaceful sleep for just a few minutes. :) Hope you enjoy these images of your precious baby girl.

Newborns are best captured within the first two weeks after birth, so if you are interested in a newborn session, it is best to contact me well before your baby’s due date. For session information, e-mail info@melissarodriguezphotography.com.

Trash the dress cont. | Cozumel destination wedding photographer

I’m finally getting around to blogging these from the trash the dress session I did in Cozumel, Mexico in July! I’ve been crazy busy, but have been having fun meeting tons of new families. You may remember the teaser image from this post. Well, here are a few more. Makes me wish I back there right now with all the cool and rainy weather we’ve been having lately! We went off the beaten path and found the most beautiful ruins by the ocean. I was in heaven! The rocky shoreline was breathtaking and made the perfect background for such a gorgeous couple!

Just wanted to share a quick photo of my Maddie at the beach. I rarely have make time take pictures of her, so the ones I took of her this day are really special to me. She turned 3 a little over a week ago and I still can’t believe that 3 years have gone by. I’m so proud of the little person she is. She’s a daddy’s girl. They are such great friends.  She’s so much like me in so many ways that it’s scary…

This little guy was such a dream to work with! He slept like an angel the entire time and didn’t mind me posing him! Isn’t he just precious??!! The first shot has to be one of my all-time favorite newborn portraits I’ve taken. I just love those little lips! Miss A turned the big ONE! | Rio Grande Valley baby photographer

I was so excited when mom contacted me for a session for Miss A’s birthday - on her actual birthday! It was so fun to get to celebrate that special day with you all.
